I just had a thought for this weekend. Let's try to work on our c-bodies and for those of us that do not have them road ready yet, let's use this time to work toward our goal.

Hopefully, with a little luck we can get a few steps closer to meeting our objectives and getting closer to having them back on the road where they belong! Regardless of how far we may have to go, let's go for it fellow c-body owners! I will be working on cleaning the interior myself and hopefully see a difference once I am done.

Good luck and I would like to hear from others on their progress.

Wish i could put my new carpet in, sadly i can't when i always have water leaking from somewhere behind the windshield

I’ll be having a look at the brakes on my Fury later this morning and hope to do some driving around by Sunday.

Today I am replacing the felt under the package tray, painting the tray satin black and installing it. Amongst a slew of other things, but that is my goal today. Tomorrow new vapor barriers...next week cat whiskers.

I'm gonna try again this weekend to get these frozen rear bumperettes off after another bowl of Wheaties.

With the summer coming to an end and the kids back at school next week I’ll be able to spend more time on my 77 NYB. Have several Irons in the fire so to speak.. the seats are still not finish at the Upholstry shop .. I’ve checked in on the progress, moving along. Had an issue with finding matching material for the seat buttons that was thin enough to stretch over them. Material found and moving forward.. pictures to follow. I’ll be pulling the carpet and all interior panels to paint and clean.. the plastic panels will be painted to match.. I found a company that mixed rattle cans to match the leather swatch I sent them. Also cans of adhesive promoter to keep the paint in check..
I was directed (Thx Jeff) to a full and complete instrument cluster that I needed. It came last week. Pictures to follow.. I’ll be sending it to (instrument specialist) for a full restoration. My current dash and cluster has been beat up over the years so it needs replacing.
The carpet I’ll just scrub and shampoo the hell out of it. Maybe have it dyed if the color looks like poop after cleaning.. it’s Black!.
Few extra things that Need to be done.. new exhaust and shocks installed too..

Pictures to come.

Finally getting around to fixing the shop wall and re roofing, its been a long time coming. I've cleared the earth 2x since the first 2 pics, hasn't moved in a few years now so building repairs are happening. Also selling years of parts collecting to get back space for complete cars to be stored and worked on. Some projects are getting axed in this round of cleanup. I'm hoping to be back with more focus on cars, if everything aligns.

Dropped the dash in my parts car to get a look at how the wiring is routed. Found lots of ugly rust. Even the dash frame look bad.

Whatcha use to clean the fabric seats?

Whatcha use to clean the fabric seats?

I used the portable Bissell SpotBot pet hands free cleaner with the Bissell professional spot and stain oxy formula first. Then, I used regular automotive aerosol turtle wax upholstery cleaner and repeated with the Bissell spot and stain remover.
Once I finished that I used a heavy duty wet dry vac to vacuum the interior.

I will probably go over 1 more time since mine was so nasty.

A word of caution though, don't make the same careless mistake I did. I got in a hurry and ripped a small spot on top of the front passengers seat. The material was weakened due to sun exposure and since it is the original fabric I rubbed too hard and ripped it slightly.

I did what I could, but Labor Day sucks for shipping things that are needed. Mid week I should be out for a test drive.

Today I used SEM soap to prep my dash pad for dyeing. It was tired looking next to the cleaned and painted dash frame. The rain prevented me from finishing with the dye, looks like I’ll have to wait until next weekend. Still got enough accomplished with the long weekend. Happy Labor Day everyone!

So I need so guidance please.. I need to pull the driver side window regulator and motor. The motor works, I can hear it, but the window doesn’t move. I’ve been directed to the threads that show rebuilding the gearbox on the motor, which I’m assuming is the problem in my case. If possible, I would like specific directions on how to pull the motor and regulator. The drivers window is in the UP position. Should I keep it up for the removal? Which bolts do I need to remove? I’ve colored in blue on the picture below all the areas on the door that have either a bolt screw or rivet. The motor appears new so I’m sure it’s been replaced/removed before. Thanks in advance.
