Sometimes, I just luck out on late night random Ebay searches. Scored a fairly mint hood for my 69 Newport Hard top next state over in Mass (Pick up only). The entire latching system is gone on my current hood, so this was a lucky find for a piece of unobtanium in my opinion. The seller also gave me a rear glass for free as he had no use for it. I asked about a front windshield but he said he broke it while trying to remove it. He had quite a bit of parts for sale on Ebay (dash, doors, poverty caps, lights, turn signals, grill, bumper, trim pieces etc). The car he parted out was a sedan (not a hard top). (kasper$racing)

Nice find. Took me three tries to find a nice one, and I still had a fair amount of rust repair to do. If you hear dirt moving around in the frame make sure you blow it out real good.
Plan is for the kid to learn how to do a full repair on it (he just turned 14). I don't envision it going on the car for another year or so. The current hood is like a pepper shaker, every time we open it, it sprinkles down all over everything.
