And than the front joint / yoke went bad

....So what happened when the U-joint/slip yolk let go? Did it stay in place and just took out your tranny?

Usually when that happens, the tail shaft drops out onto the street and the car starts doing the proverbial "Bunny Hop", can be much more destructive, so count your self lucky. A practical demonstration of the need to check u-joint condition from time to time.

This was a brand new spicer less than a year old i think the yoke got week

It stayed in the trans but it did take out the trans
