A trunk that size, and someone still needs the luggage rack?

Oh well, if there's a buck to be made, guess they'll sell you whatever you want . . .

I didn't see it listed as a factory option, dealer, parts store...

Not for the C, but one was available for the B (picture courtesy of the Hamtramck Registry) that looks very close to the one on the OP's 1970 Monaco pic:

I know I too have seen it on E-bodies but I don't believe B's, but don't hold me to that. There is a reason the luggage rack doesn't belong on the C-body, it just doesn't look good and not to mention as mentioned all the trunk space already

Our 71 Satellite had a factory rack just like that. Don’t know why Dad ordered it but it was great for “shaggin” after a big snow. (At least that what we called it) I pulled the guys all around the sub. Never used it for any thing else. I seem to remember Dad tightened the deck lid spring so it would hold the lid open better.

You should see us coming to Carlisle then with a hitch hauler hanging off the back of the NYer because it all won't fit in the trunk.

Where else can the luggage go if you've got bodies in the trunk?

Sorry... I couldn't resist. Halloween is coming, after all.
