I have been looking around for a nice Fuselage driver for a bit now. I posted a few ads locally looking and I finally had someone respond to me. He sent me a few pictures of the car and a general description. I drove five hours to go see it and ended up bringing it home.
I'm pretty happy with it overall, the body is solid on it and has 85,xxx miles on it. The car starts right up and drives nice and solid. I was initially looking for a Big block car, but this being pretty much a zero option Sport Fury makes it kind of cool. There is a bunch of old service records that came with it as well. The quarters have had some work on them, and the vinyl top was removed at some point, but it is solid under the rear window glass.
I want to fix the seats in it, replace the package shelf and see if I can come up with a better dash for the car. Initially I was going to add a console, put dual remote mirrors and add a couple other options but now I might just leave it as is.
What do you guys think of the car and what it might be worth? I'm not reselling it, but just wondering if I paid a fair amount for it. Also what are your thoughts on leaving it mostly original or adding a couple creature comforts to the car.

I would not change anything on this car as far adding options, this tends to detract from the value of the vehicle. In no particular order.

1.) Detail the engine compartment
2.) Replace the rugs and seat covers with factory correct materials.
3.) Repair any rust on the rear quarters as necessary
4.) Replace the vinyl top with the correct material

Note that a 318 equipped , low optioned sport fury is not currently a high dollar car, so use some common sense as you bring it back. As it sits, it is probably a $3.5-$4k car. Cleaned up something like $7.5k. Good Luck. I would clean it up and drive the hell out of it and not worry about what it is worth, it is a nice, well preserved car.

Windsor built formal. Was triple green but last owner went triple black. I'd rather have green.

BC car. Way way back, I bought a 69 Sport Fury in Vancouver for 400 bucks. Just from your photos I can tell you you’re a good leap beyond my purchase. And don’t short that small block, may be the best thing for you for mileage and longevity.

I’d keep a close eye on what’s been repaired body wise and make sure it was done right. Fix it if it wasn’t. Everything else is kinda just right if you ask me. Nice car, man.

Nice score. I agree with the above comments and list. If it was mine I'd also splurge on a reconditioned dash pad. My .02.

What is it worth? It is worth keeping! Congrats to you! My Favorite year Fury ,looks like you got a good one,,they don't grow on trees anymore.

That's one nice and clean unmolested looking Sport Fury..

Good luck with it, what it may lack in options it surely does not in the looks department.......:steering:

Nice car, I love that it is bare bones, do what Dave said to do and start racking up the km's!

Great car ! removing the carpet from the trunk would be my first order of business. At least until you've determined she's water tight

Congrats, I like it!

@69CoronetRT might want to start collecting info on Windsor built cars after he finishes St Louis.
