bee'a, bee'a, baa, baa, bid'a bid, 3 now 4... LET'S GO! LET'S GO! LET'S GO!....
RESERVE IS!......

Anyone watching?

I tuned in yesterday and caught the tail end of the Super Bee 4spd sale but then just got stuck on a truck run, looked at the lot for the day and tuned out.

Now today I missed the 1966 Chrysler Imperial (LOT F42) that sold, and am waiting to see the Tony D'Agostino 1968 Hemi Road Runner (LOT F214) come up, plus at the tail end is a 1967 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible 4spd (LOT F304) which maybe interesting to see what happens.

:steering::popcorn::steering:

At lot LOT F202 now, soon to the Hemi, some notes so far:

210 mile 1996 Mustang SVT Cobra (F181) SOLD 17k

S550 2014 Merc/benz struggling to start at 20k ha ha "GO BUY A NEW ONE!"
SOLD @ 29k and he had to beat up on the bidders to get that.

(edit) DISCLAIMER, these are the TV Hammer prices!

Funny comment: I'M TRYING TO SELL IT NOT RENT IT!

1976 Lincoln Mark IV started at 1k and struggled, sold at 4.5k with the reserve going off at that price.

1968 Plymouth Hemi Road Runner RESERVE IS OFF! @ 71k SOLD @ 71k
I'm really surprised they didn't hype the Tony D. ownership on the TV.

The 'maro right behind it did better (or didn't as no sale)
1969 Z28 'Maro CLOSE THE BID @ 85k wanted 110k

Then some ugly off color Vettes.
1967 Corvette Black/Red CLOSE THE BID @ 120k

1967 Corvette Burgundy RESERVE IS OFF! @ 95k SOLD @ 95k

1965 Corvette Black/Red CLOSE THE BID @ 120k

(edit) DISCLAIMER, these are the TV Hammer prices!

What night is Petty's Superbird going on the block? I can't seem to find the time.

I am going to go play the lottery, my wife said if I won, it I could buy it. :)

LOT F310

Seems that the road art is going to run over, then there is a engine and a big 1955 Motorama display that I'll bet will go for real big bucks, then the motorcycle, not many mostly Honda minibikes (collection?) which will be interesting to see ($$)

$25,000 is a damn good price for one a those. What color, motor, options etc?

For anyone else that can't be arsed to go to the Mecum site there are some interesting drag cars coming up around the Petty cars, Sox & Martin and a Dick Landy 'Boycott' car.

Just some of my observations on the engine bay photo of the 1967 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible 4spd.

I don't think this is a 'Rotisserie Restore' because:
Engine wiring bulkhead connector is very dirty.
Bulkhead connector wiring harness has some butt/splice connectors.
Voltage regulator looks too be quite old.
Speedometer cable grommet has paint on it.
Grommet left of master cylinder is painted.
Also stud & nut by master cylinder is painted.
Heat-A/C box studs & nuts are painted (box not removed)
A/C hoses look quite old.

And last but not least is the A-arm splash shields are fabricated out of a innertube.
Plus there is something funky looking with the driverside inner fender by the splash shield.

I'd be interesting to find out who/what shop did the restoration work and how much was paid.
I'm leaning on the high side of 50k.

(LOT S96) 1970 Plymouth Superbird Richard Petty NASCAR = HOLD & CLOSE THE BID @ 3.5M ON THE PHONE, WORK THE DEAL.
Restored at Petty Enterprises, in the Todd Werner collection, he said the car "kind of fell in my lap"

(LOT S100) 1971 Plymouth Road Runner Richard Petty NASCAR = NR SOLD 3.75K
Todd Werner had to work the bidders to try and get it above that.
