Missing power steering adjuster?

Gravity is the tensioner on that setup, well gravity plus torque when steering is active. The lower bolt hole is slotted to allow pre tensioning.

odd...I dont have that on my 67
Hated that style of pump bracket.
Swapped it out with an aftermarket replacement.

The swap that @cbarge did is a MUCH better design, but for those wishing to stay original, the flapper bracket works well as long as all the various bolt holes are not wallered out, and that the rubber snubber is in place, otherwise it twists and deflects the belt and ultimately compounds the problem.
