Mopars in the Park-Fox Lake

Went up to Fox Lake for the Mopars in the Park show today.

Spent the day parked next to another slab side, Mr Mopar’s fine looking 68 New Yorker!

My bad, I didn’t snap any shots of the the 73… it definitely drew a crowd all day, it’s a sharp looking ride!

I believe there were more C bodies at this show than any other class IE; A/B/E etc., but still only one class for all.
I'm a member of the CMC and will be making a formal request to update their antiquated judging classes for our C bodies to include forward look, slab side, fuselage, formal and wagons.
Recognizing there is a growing popularity in C bodies, it warrants a change to the judged classes since we out showed all other classes this year.
With the perfect weather we had on Sunday, a lot of the cars that attended Volo were at the CMC show in Fox Lake too.
Class winner was @david hill 2nd place was @badvs3vil 3rd place went to @SGVert and @cbarge won the "farthest distance award.
A very deserving Congrats go out to all you guys!

Steve J with his 66 Crown coupe tied for 2nd, but he had already left the show.

Stayed over for The MOPARS On The Lake car show. Car turnout was pretty damn cool. The C Body contingent was the highest of the classic car count category. The A, B, & E entrances were high quality. As you see in the photos the quality our cars were the best I had seen since The Chrysler Nationals last year. A BIG THANK YOU to sixpkrt for his hospitality for allowing me to wash off the road grit off my 300 at his shop. That and a quick detail brought back the sparkle to my convertible. There were many cars there from yesterdays 6th Annual C Body Show. Congrats to fellow members SGVert, @cbarge, badvs3vil, on your awards. Here are a few photos I took below.
