MRC Rod Run with the Polara

I have never done a Rod Run so decided to try it Out. It is being put on by Midwest Rod and Custom in Lake Park,MN. This is the shop that gave me the one of the straightest Polara’s around. (And drained my bank account over the years LOL). One of the guys gave me a flyer last weekend when I was at another show.

It t is about a 55 mile round trip through the MN Lake Country. Beautiful day.

They also had a ‘68 300 back in the shop that they were installing a new green vinyl top. The car looks pretty rust free and in decent shape.

Some of these places I haven’t been to in 28 years. I used to live at this place back during the day. It had great night life.

Nice little run. Probably close to 100 cars, but not crowded or backed up at all. Plenty of time to stop and eat at many of the places.

There were some nice cars there, including a Kaiser. Couple of young guys took this bucket the 53 miles.

The hot starts at each place will test your tune.
I had no issues, it is running pretty good.
