AND YES, the bumper got pulled out. :wtf:
And this week, I raised the insurance coverage.
Now Hagerty is going to be very suspicious and I wouldn't blame them.

Wtf! That really sucks, you think it was a blue hair?

sorry about that brother:(:BangHead:. Probably didn't even leave a note?.

THIS KINDA SH*T .. REALLY chaps my *** but good. My blood's boiling -- its happened to me three times in 40 years -- right now.

Decorum prevents me from articulating my true thoughts about whoever did this.

GOod luck

I had a freshly painted car once back in about 1983 and parked up against a wood pole fence to prevent anyone from parking on that side. came back to find all the wood fence posts pulled up so someone could park on the fence line.
And yes the posts were dumped against the side of the car!
Not only scratched the paint but 2 major dents in the 1/4 panel...
Of course they took off before I got back to the car, chicken shits that they were they know had better high tail it out of there before I came back.:mad::mad:

I'll never find a pristine rear bumper.
And there's no one in this County that has the setup to pull things back into alignment, let alone chrome plate it. That alone is going to be an $800 bumper.

I think they would only be suspicious if the car burnt. They would pay out the same amount today as they would have a year ago, and you are a long time customer, so I wouldn't sweat it.

Bringing magnifying glass, tweezers, and evidence bag to every show until I find him.

Don't let anyone to convince you to use Bumper Boyz for that bumper.

I know these guys have tanks big enough. I watched them plate a 73 Fury bumper once. They aren't the fastest though. It might be worth scoring another bumper and sending it off for plating.

The parts car bumper is pretty straight, if you want to swap and send it out for chrome... I wouldn't need the core until it returned. Let me know... Man, Viv is going to hate that they screwed up her favorite pinstripe.

Sorry about what happened. That really sucks. Was this a local cruise night you attended and were you in the show area? If so it might be worth talking to some of your acquaintances who also attended and seeing if they recall who/what parked next to you. The only good thing is whoever did it at a car show will have also sustained damage to their car. Would it be worth checking local body repair shops?

Jeff, thank you so much!!!!!!.
When my rage wears off, and I'm rational again, I'll figure out the next step.

And yes, the bumper did get pulled out.

Other than giving the insurance someone to chase, it won't matter. Florida won't address parking lot damage as it happened on private property... Big John is welcome to snowbird here, but I would drive the Merc while in this state.

If you find the guy, I'll come help feed the alligators.

you gotta be Fn kidding me!!! and at a car show no less! people just dont have respect for anything anymore. WTF :mob:

my condolences, Stan. ill keep my eye out for a bumper for ya...
