Picked her up 6/8/14. After driving her for a month, decided to start cleaning it up. Just pulled motor/tranny to detail and fix leaks. While that is going on, cleaning underbody and will work on front end and clean engine bay...

Interior pics...another case of pics not telling the whole story. The vinyl is dry rotted and cracking in many spots, so having them redone, will pick them up tomorrow.

Beautiful!
You can take care of the underside while you drive it.

Yep, that was the plan...till I yanked the motor and tranny...only been 2 weeks I miss driving it already....

I love the fact that I have GOOBS of room to clean this up.

As posted before, I put a kit in carb and hit it with Eastwood's carb renew.

Seats are in, came out nice. Got motor painted and DS valve cover ready for paint. I have an extra set of valve covers, this is plan A.

Got a late start today after helping a buddy with his project...

Another buddy who has a '70 Challenger came by today to help with the torsion bar removal. He brought some scrap metal and we fabbed a removal tool. I had read many threads on this subject, and seems the majority of folks seem to have little trouble, not the case here. Anyway, we did manage to get left side out, but wore out the tool to the point where another, beefier one will be needed for rt side. Got valve cover painted nice, started on the other, mocked up carb/fan just to make me feel good...

Nice work, you are getting after it. You will be back on the road before you know it at this speed. When I started reading I thought you were going to miss the rest of the good driving season, but then I see you are in south Texas. You are just missing the HOT season. My Grandparents spend the winters for many years in Zapata.

You are just missing the HOT season.

Maybe missing it by not driving...but not missing out working on it...my shop is made of metal, sometimes it feels like an Easy Bake Oven...but it is what it is and it sure beats not having to shovel snow.

Gawd I love the fact you have a porch.

"Fuggid, I can't do anymore right now. Let'sall go out on the porch."

After cut, chop and re-welding removal tool, went back at it to remove RT side torsion bar. First, had to break out the plasma cutter because the adjuster bolt froze up and would not come out, even with impact, so got it cut out, attached tool, and had to beat on it like a *$@%^&...but just before it wore me out, it finally broke loose. I even sprayed it with PB Blaster last night and again today before starting...lucky me. Need to order lower ball joints, already have the rest of suspension parts...

Where at in Texas are you? I'm up in Dallas. Hopefully one day when I get my 65 Sport back together we can meet up and go for a cruise! Granted my junk isn't near as nice as yours!
