Love it. Is it my eyes or is the left manifold look like a high riser while the right cannot even be seen in the other pic?

CE27L0C157769, so it's a 383-2 and I am puzzled about the dual snorkels.

The left manifold is a regular ”log” manifold. Lo-Po. The ”high riser” as you call it, looks more like a ”hunchback”.

Since the fender braces and the top of the firewall that should be body color are painted flat black the car may have had a color change. Definitely has the wrong air cleaner but it looks like a great car and it's rare for a Newport to have buckets and a console.

He sent me a tag pic....i will post it if i can figure a way to do so. It is through ebay. Fyi it is an orig Y3 car with console and tilt showing on the tag.

The trunk has been repainted. Still, I like the color combo, and the car seems very nicely equipped (though it is neither an N- or T-code...):

The intake is a open-side pedestal for the choke. The dual-unequal-length air cleaner is a mid-70s police version, so would have a 5-1/8" neck for the carb. (the snorkels look like originals)
I'm betting that's a spread-bore intake under there with a Thermoquad. Or an Eddy sitting on an adapter plate. To be a 2-barrel carb would require a plastic neck-adapter ring to fit the air cleaner, they are unusual to find nowadays. But as I look at it more, there's no choke, and looks like an Eddy housing there too (red arrow).

Looks like a nice car -- nice bumpers/paint, nice to have Road Wheels and the buckets/console. I'd be proud to own this one.

Nice car. Lots of options makes me think it was a dealer showroom bait initially.

It needs a thorough clean up, and a set of white walls. Not much else.

Sale ended at $7,100; reserve not met. I like how this one looks and the options that it has, but there are still too many unknowns for me at this stage: the seller has no history for the car, so I'd get a thorough inspection I would consider buying it (e.g., what was done to the trunk -- see below).
