1972 Chrysler New Yorker 4dr Hardtop - $4,500 - Detroit, Michigan

FB Description

1972 Chrysler New Yorker 45k miles 440, new carburetor Auto trans 727 8 3/4 rear end. Power Windows and Locks New Top Minimal rust Original Paint. Some dings here and there. Everything works: A/C, Heat, Locks, Windows (rear driver side a little funny) gauges AM radio can plug into phone or media device and play your music. Maybe the trunk light and glove box light don't work? It's a really nice comfortable old car with loads of personality. I've driven this car to Florida several times and Boston and Western Mass. Good Reliable car. Will need tires soon. Not in a hurry to sell so I'm pretty firm on price. May consider trade for another complete pre-1980 car of similar value. Interested in other Chry Co vehicles, AMCs, VWs, and convertibles. No 4x4s, boats, pickup trucks, jeeps, or rust buckets. I have a lot of large cars, looking to add a smaller one to the collection.

Wow. Nice color and well equipped. Power vents matt. Depending on the “minimal rust” bit it’s probably priced right.
Nice pics from Belle Isle!

I first saw this GT8 NYB advertised back in fall 2018: it was discussed here. At the time, it was owned by member @vintagetin and had 33k miles.

I believe that the owner is still the same person. I talked with him about possibly buying the car a year ago (almost to the day), when it had 36k miles -- attached below is the description at the time. I passed mainly because I had just acquired another car at the same time and, after talking with @71Polara383, concluded that I had my hands full.

The advertised mileage is now 45k miles, consistent with the seller's statement that he drives the car regularly and long-distance. It looks like several things have been fixed since last year -- the A/C, in particular. I must say, this car is tempting me once again. Another member is looking at the car and, if he passes, I may have to exercise self-restraint.

Thank you for the links as i was wondering where the old car got picked apart by the meanies and demons lurked under side moldings,
Nice car for the money!

I really like this car. Owner is making investments in preservation though and iI always applaud that.

Not a buyer however but reminds me of that 1972 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham coupe in similar colors would grab immeidately if it were for sale -- even though I don't need it either :).

Hope it lands in appreciative new home.

Very nice, not a buyer but I do like the look.
2 doors too many for me.

The ad's been taken down, probably sold....I won't mark it sold just yet incase a member bought it and would like to post about it...

Here is the tag for records, confirming that CS43T2C258520 is a nicely equipped NYB with P33 power vent windows and P41 power door locks.
