The paint looks in pretty decent condition, has the big block 400. The Interior also looks in good condition except for the stuff the seller left in the photos.

Oh my Lord, my baby's still alive!!!!!!!

This beautiful big block 1974 Dodge Monaco is the one that started it all. I can't tell you how many times I have kicked myself over walking away. That was 4 years ago.
Originally a Minnesota car sent to die at the hands of a derbier. The Wisconsin owner I nearly bought it off of was going to use the clips to convert his Plymouth into bluesmobile. The reason I had to walk was no reverse, or 3rd gear. That and the wipers and radio didn't work.

I want it oh so tempted.

Looks good. Must have been garaged in the winter it’s whole life if it is an MN car and not totally rusted out.

I searched around the forum and found some pic from 4 years ago. Doesn't look like she's changed much since then. Someone took DODGE off the header panel. I sure hope they've replaced the trans by now.

I know, I know I'm obsessed.

Yeah, I remember this one. Not having a working trans hurt that one for a sale for sure.

I’ll find a way to get it back. It obviously had an impact on you. I know!! easier said than done,

I see we meet yet again old friend........but what in the hell have they done to you......
:mob:
The front seat is in worse condition in this picture than from 4 years ago, no effort to repair or replace it seems

I'm starting to wonder if anything has been done with this Monaco since August 2016 and 3 or 4 owners since I damn near bought this @$2000 . The interior was in much better shape and didn't have holes cut in the package shelf. I would love to see under the hood. I bet that hasn't changed either.

When I contacted the owner this spring, he was very honest in his response. At that time he was scared to drive in traffic due to the 400 was becoming very sluggish. Then was listed as pending (still is) so I moved on.
Although I'm curious to see if it's the same owner or different. But since the link doesn't work for me its probably for the best.

What town in Minnesota was she from?

Could I or would I be able to find another package shelf, or patch, or what? Makes me wonder if the dashboard is screwed up too.

I was thinking of a 'shine runner, aka: Copperhead Road.
Still remember that rumblin' sound.

IMO, the effort/reward on a package shelf isn't there, to find a good one to buy, that is.
Get a 4x8 sheet of hardboard, a pint of paint to match the interior, use the orig panel for a pattern, jigsaw out a new one, and paint it.
Some cars have a mild curve where the panel meets the top of the rear seat, which would be difficult to replicate, but some are simply flat.

Any leftover paint could be useful on faded plastic pieces, too.

If that one were a 4-door it wouldn't be bouncing around FS so much.
Would be black and white by now.

Is this a sign? Why am I being haunted by this Monaco.........oh my God, is this my 4sp New Yorker.

I seriously need to get off my a$$ try to make a deal and affordably ship it back to Minnesota before she could be lost forever. Or am I just dreaming?
