NSS question

Ok 73 Newport. First it would not crank at all in park but would start in neutral. I replaced the NSS today and it will crank in Park but wont actually bust off. It will start in neutral still. Any ideas? Also when replacing a NSS remember that transmission fluid will pour out. I completely overlooked that. Fun stuff lol.

The neutral switch has nothing to do with ignition. If the starter cranks over, the neutral switch is doing its job correctly.

You have some other non "bust off" problem.

hmmm okie doke. After changing it, the car is at least cranking in park.
