I bet that the car actually drives quite well. I think the biggest negative to the powertrain is the trans is only a 2 speed powerglide. The builder kind of made an early model Tucker with the rear mounted, air cooled six, which reminds me of something interesting that I ran across back in 2012.

I took a trip to Jersey to check out a 1965 300 for my friends in Sweden, and the shop that was selling the car actually builds brand new Tuckers. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the father's daily driver Tucker, which looked like a bone stock original from the outside. I did get some pics of a street rod version that they were finishing up at the time. It's a fiberglass body and the chassis is set up so that any 1992-98 Cadillac Seville/Eldorado front sub frame will bolt right in. They beef up the Northstar engines and tubocharge them for quite a bit of extra power. The engine goes in the rear, just like the original car.
