I need another car like a hole in the head, but my brother gave me his car, so here's the latest addition to the herd...

1978 NYB non LB 400 4bbl Lock up 727, 8.25, non ATC. Velour interior. Skirts in the trunk.

The good:
All of the chrome has been re-chromed on this car. Runs amazing, I already did the Wiper cam using the "Bob" method.

The bad:
It sat outside a long time before my brother gave her up...upper surfaces the paint is peeling, vinyl top is shot.

Drives like a dream, feels to be a low miles machine.

Some pics fresh off the trailer:

As you screamed "No! No! No!" While he forced it upon you.
Looks like it has both styles of pinstripes on it, which I think looks good.
Some guys have all the luck.
Congratulations!
If it were mine, I'd just remove the top and paint.

An almost exact description of my 78. Same skirts in the trunk, wheel covers, bad vinyl top issues , non LB 400 and non atc heat and air.

Fender tag and door sticker, if you please? Just to make sure whether it's a candidate for the Late C-Bodies List.

I can do the fender tag, but the door sticker is long gone due to a repaint or replacement of the door at some point in the car’s life.

Skirts on and the body sides waxed up well. Took some pics next to the T&C.

I have some road wheels for it and as I continue to inspect the car, I discovered my brother put on new Hankooks.

Forgot how hard it is to fit 2 C Bodies in the frame together.

Road wheels on.

I've got about a month of cruise season left before winter.

Disaster!!!

Went for a cruise and smelled burning electrical smell and smoke came pouring out of the column.

Fried turn signal switch.

Great.

I just had the column replaced on my R/T. Sent mine as a core.
The guy is over on FBBO.
He did a nice job on it. Let me know if you want his contact info.

We are operational again!

Went to a Mopar buddies yard and pulled the switch from this 78 NYB:
