Oil filler breather cap hook up

My 383 has an air cleaner with a short tube on one of the snorkles that isn't connected to anything and the valve cover breather cap looks like it was replaced at some point but it does not have a tube on it. Should I get the oil breather cap with the outlet on it and hook it back to the air cleaner tube

Before I answered this, I looked at the FSM for a '66 Dodge. The best thing to do is download a copy and go to the engine section. It was page 9-43 and 9-44. This will show you the hook up for both a "Federal Emissions" car and a "California Emissions" car.

The California emissions car calls for a hook up ffrom the breather to the air cleaner and the Federal version doesn't.

So... If you know the car was originally sold in California, it will have the breather hose to the air cleaner.
