Sure. Remember than the 10 means the viscosity of the oil when cold in your pan. Exactly what you want when you want oil to get to the top of the engine fast upon starting. Once warm, and the hydrocarbons chains transform, then you have 30W. Also 30W back then was SB and today it is SM. The Petroleum Institute would consider any oil put out today, in SB specs, to be a fraud and there are companies that do that.

You might want to try a high zinc oil like Brad Penn 10W30. It's about $5 a quart and worth it to me.
