went to the yard this weekend, and at the end of the day,
after getting everyone elses stuff, decided to give this console a shot.

i ended up using a small road sign as a hatchet to remove the " console ",
after trying to take the console apart in the car/fail.
this took about an hour of sweating and cursing whilst crouched inside whats left of a smashed up charger/which is about 3 feet high total,
while my friend held up various bits and pieces of charger out of my swing radius.
as you can see,Determination wins again.

I still have the Accell distributor I bought for a 69 Barracuda I had in 1977. I used the same Mallory coil also, really like both of them.

It's cool what you can get apart once you have identified the stuff that doesn't matter.
hatchet and a hammer are great for cutting panels under less than ideal conditions.
I once cut apart an old chevy with an axe... felt good too. These days, the cheap wannabe sawzall does the job.

Looks like the console came out of a E-body
this was a 72 charger se that had been totaled no front clip motor trans anything.
then it sat and rotted Into the ground so it was like a lil dwarf charger,
really " fun " to work inside/not!

ive got it cleaned up and working fine, just needs a handle now.
i sold one last weekend and it was exactly the same, color and all,
to a friend and that came out of an ebody.
the overlay plate wasnt bent like This one is,but i mightttt be able to save it.
and it turns out i got all the brackets off the tunnel tool,so thats a plus.
wish me luck n thanks for all the replies as well.
