When we did the car 20 years ago the green vinyl they used never matched so it was time to paint. I did the door panels as well. Came out great
 
I have done this in the past with cars I was cleaning up to sell.

The paints are a great inexpensive way to get a finish that does last.

I can take this kind of painter any day to our paint shop! :thumbsup:

It took three cans of paint and one prep can (and I also bought the cleaner)

You can get it through Jegs, Classic Industries etc..
 
As pissed off as I am about the 4 dash pads I had fade out on my PLB3 Light Blue NYB Formal. I'm willing to try painting the dash pad.
 
I suspect this newer paint will work better than the "acrylic lacquer + flex agent" from the later '70s! Didn't know they were doing metallic paints either. Neat. Thanks for the pictures!
