But hey, I think we can take advantage of a slow for sale forum week to ogle this baby. And while we are at it, anyone want to enlighten me on what a stroker engine is? I hear this term thrown around a lot but am not really familiar with it. Is a "built" engine with a larger cam and increased cylinder size, etc? (as in bored and stroked"?)
Anyhow, It looks like straight, sharp looking car for the price.

Let the hate begin!

The bore of a 360 cubic inch Mopar is 4.00 inches. Thats diameter of the piston...
The stroke of a 360 cubic inch Mopar is 3.58 inches. Thats how far the piston travels up / down in block....

This would be 3.58 X 4.00 to equal 359.9 ... Hence the "360" designation ...

Now, increase the bore to 4.00 and leave stroke at 4.00 and motor is now a 402 cubic inch motor....

Now, increase the bore thirty thousand more ( .030 ) making it 4.030 and still have a stroke of 4.00 ,,
the motor is now a 408 cubic inch motor .....

So,, " stroker motor " means to have a stroke different than stock...
A " bored motor " means to increase bore diameter to fit larger pistons...

More cubes makes more torque.... :D

Mind blown..... Thanks, X. This is why I continue to come here. Great to learn from you guys. Appreciate the time you took to explain.

You have the bore and stroke measurements reversed. A 360 has a 3.58 stroke.

Most small block "stroker" cranks are 4" but are now available in 4.125 and 4.250 from Bloomer Performance Engineering.

Bottom line: No replacement for displacement.
