Kingston Ontario Eh?
Radio is a 68 stereo unit.
Make sure the faceplate goes with radio due to round knobs.
67 was mono AM/FM thumbwheel unit. FYI.

If I remember, this would also mean it would have the "Stereo Multiplexer" in the back of the rear seat, correct? I seem to remember reading in the FSM that contraption was part of the hardware for the stereo system, compared to the normal mono radio. Would you even need a higher amp rated alternator for that setup?

Their seems to be some debate on weather the radio is a 67 or 68 because of the round knobs...the 67 faceplate has a different design than the 68...so a round knob must have been optional in 67... I will post better pics of radio and cars fender tag later today and maybe we can figure it out!

Might have been an option that was added later in the model year.

I never noticed before that they swapped the position of the ribs on the dash between '67 and '68.

That looks to be the same am/fm radio I have in my ‘68. Mine doesn’t work, but there is that multiplexer device behind the rear seat. You won’t see it until you remove the seat back.

Did that lower dash steering column cover survive the disassembly process? I’d be interested in that for my buddy’s 68 300. I think that’s the same piece for both years.
