My 66 Polara got rear ended and pushed into a phone pole. Luckily not as bad as I had first thought. I'm still very upset though.

That’s sad but it’s a risk we all take. Could be some hidden damage but hopefully not. As long as everyone is okay the rest can be fixed.
    Feel for you.

    Glad that you're unscathed....

Unfortunately that quarter panel buckling will be a difficult repair. I'm not sure if it can be bent back or if it will have to be R&R'd...

One of my worst nightmares. I am so sorry to hear and see this. If you could can you keep us posted on what will happen in the repairs and insurance? Would like to know how the insurance company does business. Are you with Hagarty?
    This is very upsetting .

Jeez. Its not like you were driving an olive drab car in the forest. How did someone rear end 17 or 18 feet of a brightly colored car like yours? And yes please let us know about the insurance and repair phase. I carry Hagerty and thankfully haven’t had to use it.

Glad you weren't hurt. Is the driver of the other car recuperating from a post accident injury?

Just wait, you'll get there. OR, first, you'll be the caregiver for an older person that has that situation. Parent, usually. It can change your sensitivity to such things!

Oh Man that’s hard to see but I’m glad you’re ok too. I’ve been collectong resto parts for my ‘67 Imp but I hope I never have to use them as collision repair parts.:mob:

What kind of vehicle hit you. They were either travelling at a good speed or it was a fairly large vehicle to hit you the push you into a pole. Did you take pics of the other guys vehicle.
Also interested to see how th insurance works out especially if you have Haggerty.
