OK fellas now that I have two mid 70’s New Yorkers with power antennas, neither work 100%. The switches work, the motors hum, but the aerial does not rise or lower via power. I see a couple on eBay in the mid $200s and up. Should I remove and attempt a rebuild on the originals? I remember a thread or two being posted regarding this, I believe Stan rebuild his using Weedwhacker cord, Stan? Or should I just replaced them with a newer model from another type of car? Or even an aftermarket unit? Any assistance or direction would be greatly appreciated..

This may have promise...

Has anyone tried one yet?

John. I have a complete fusey power antenna that works good one way but a little sluggish the other. Has the bezel, bracket and some misc extra parts.
(Manifolds are no longer available). PM me.
