Hi everyone
Have a 78 Magnum GT, drive window stuck in the down position, was working last time I drove it. I can hear the motor working when the switch is pressed, kinda sounds like a gear is stripped. Guess it's teardown time, any ideas on the likely cause, where to get parts? Thanks for advice folks.

Make sure you fully understand how to remove the window motor from the regulator. That spring will take fingers off!

DON'T REMOVE THE MOTOR FROM THE REGULATOR IN THE DOOR. Remove the entire regulator and motor assembly... once the door panel is off, you should be able to detach the window from the regulator and raise the glass by hand, and keep it in the up position by putting a screwdriver or long bolt through one of the many holes in the door frame near the top. Then the regulator and motor assembly can be unbolted as a unit and removed out the large access hole in the bottom of the door.

When you do remove the motor from the regulator on the work bench, you need to secure the arm from moving to prevent the very powerful spring from sending the arm zipping around and snipping off your fingers in the process.
