The mechanical fuel pump was by-passed by the previous owner and a small electrical pump/fuel line was cobbled together. I am trying to undo all of those repairs.

First photo is what is currently bolted to the engine. (No idea if original or not?)
Second photo is the parts manual which shows that two sections of rubber hose connect to the fuel pump.

I picked up a pump from NAPA, but it had provisions for one rubber hose/one threaded steel line and the inlet-outlet pipes were facing different directions than what is currently on the car. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/DFPMF0109?impressionRank=15

Anyone have photos or part number for a correct modern fuel pump? Photo of correct inlet/outlet pipe orientation?

Thx

The reason the threaded fitting is facing the other direction is because the tube that goes in it is c-shaped and ends up in the same spot for the filter/vapor separator. Click link for pic:

I couldn't tell you if yours is supposed to have the threaded type or not.

Be aware that the reason they installed an electric pump could be because the fuel pump push rod is worn down. I would recommend taking it out and measuring it. Should be around 3.2", just eyeballing it, both machined ends should be the same length. There's been a bad run of aftermarket pushrods, so it's best to have OEM.

The dual nipple pump in the pic is for a 350 HP 440. The threaded pressure fitting as described is a 375HP pump. By the way plastic fuel filters are a fire just waiting to happen. Find my thread ( an then it caught fire ), will show what can happen. Always buy steel fuel filters.

The 69 parts book has the double nipple one on c-bodies and the fitting one on b-bodies
The 70 parts book has the fitting one on all.
