Question about slab-era power bench track (do I have this right?)

My '67 Monaco came originally with manual-slide bench seat. At some point in the late 1980's while visiting junk yards I pulled a power bench unit from what I think was a Fury VIP - '67 or '68. I swapped it into my Monaco and it's been all right I guess during the 10 or so years I actually drove the car up until about 1999, with the car going into storage for the next 20 years. The past 2 days I've been R'n'R the seat, replacing the bolts holding it to the floor. So first I'll post this photo:

The seat front and back is set to the lowest position, and set to the max backward position. I'm wondering if this part of the mechanism in the circle should be visible. Now, I have the chrome trim cover off, so this isin't seen anyways, but I'm wondering if the track and the seat are in the correct relationship, or if the track should be further back wrt the seat. Reason I'm asking is because I wonder if the mechanism is jamming and preventing the front to go lower. Here is how much space there is between the seat and the trans hump:

I can just about put my hand there. Should the seat front be able to go lower? There is about 5 inches between the steering wheel and the top of the seat.

Is there anyone with a factory power bench setup that can tell me if what I have is normal or not? Did they make different track mechanisms for different bench seats? Plymouth vs Dodge kinda thing?

There should be plastic covers that go over the tracks to hide them. Those covers often break and get tossed. The height looks right to me. The power seat tracks are the same for Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth C Body cars.

This is what my setup looks like now after putting the original trim back on:

That's the original I guess anodized aluminum seat trim. The seat is in the low position. I have another trim piece, it's identical (has exactly identical shape and finish) except it was from a power bucket seat. It has the rectangular cut-out for the 3-gang style switch. The bucket seat trim does not have the cut-out for the seat-back pivot arm, so if I want to use it I have to modify it.

I'm just wondering if I'm supposed to see the track mechanism like this. Really the only visible part is the front. I think there are holes on this track that I could use to mount the seat forward a couple inches, but that puts the seat too close to the steering wheel, even in the full backwards position. I would have to mount the track in a different position on the floor, and that puts the mounting bolts outside of the spanner U-channels under the floor.

@Cop car wagon what you show for the seat tracks is not what I have. Your looks really high, but it does look correct for '67 based on the style of the switch. But the side covers you show look different than what I have. Is that bench seat power unit and trim from a 4-door car?

Is my track unit from '67 - '68? Or is it later?

If your power seat has a joystick to move the seat, it’s from a 66 - 68. The 3 button switch started in 69. The car that you removed the power seat set up from must not have had the plastic trim pieces to go on the track as pictured in a previous post. The same bench seat power seat assembly was used on both two and four door cars. Good luck, trying to find the plastic pieces that fit over the power seat tracks.

I don't have the switch that would have been on the car that I got these tracks from. I can't see how there could be anything covering the tracks themselves, I see no mounting holes for any sort of cover, either the sides or the front.

Theres only 2 styles of power seat. Joystick or 3 gang control.
And for the drives, one motor or 3 motor.
My tracks pictured are all the way up.
