Question on 69 c body trunk extensions

Yup, spot weld cutters don't last long. One tip is to invest in a good spring loaded center punch. A good deep punch dimple will keep the bit from wandering and make it less likely to break. And let the bit do the work, not too much pressure and keep it straight.
 
Trunk floors are very time consuming to properly cut out. That does ad to the price. And they are no fun to do either. $500 sounds like a lot but after spending the better part of a day cutting it out and preparing it for shipping it's not a real moneymaker.
Yep... just for the record... my $500 trunk.pan came as one heavy assembly... I drilled out all the spot welds....
