I might be getting a dodge St regis (1979-1981 R body) parts car .

A friend of mine has a 69 fury III convertible with drum brakes he wishes to upgrade to disc.

I know the R -body had 11.75" discs standard.

Is any of the brake system from this car useable towards a 69 C body disc brake conversion???

The "R" car's heritage is more "B" body than "C" body. Think "Cordoba" rather than "New Yorker".

Get into one of the online catalogs (www.rockauto.com is one) and check for commonality of the ball joints on the front suspension between the '69 C-body and later C-bodies. '69-'73 were on the same platform, with '74+ being the later platform, BUT they might have interchangeable control arms. A salvage yard's Hollander Interchange Manual would also detail these things.

What you might adapt from the R-car is the master cylinder and brake booster and the related brake proportioning valve/fluid loss switch. But that's a big "might", all things considered.

Seems like there was a website, "Thunder's Garage" (?) which detailed these things fro Mopars, too?
