Hi folks, I was wondering if anyone has word of wisdom on removing and replacing the Rad petcock on my 1964 New Yorker? The turn handle(?) is striped and won't open or close and has a small leak. Thanks

Simply unscrew the petcock body from the radiator tank. It's a pipe thread fitting. There are two common sizes. Once it's out, take it to your nearest Napa and match it up to a new one.

That is, if your store has them in stock. Looks like my store doesn't stock one of the common sizes anymore. They used to have a drawer full of them.

Cool, have some WD40 sitting on it right now, tried a wrench on it but was resisting so I'll give it another try. thanks Jeff
