Thought this may be of interest to some members and worth posting. Auction not yet started with estimate of £5 to 10K and 334 pics

Listing says

We believe that this 1955 car is an Imperial C-70 (designating a longer wheelbase) limousine, of which just 172 were made during the first year of the ‘Forward Look’.

What’s more, of these 172 we think it’s one of only 45 8-passenger Imperial sedans (designating that there’s no dividing screen between the front and rear cabins) ever built.

If we’re right, this car is extremely rare.

In common with many vehicles from the vendor’s collection, the car comes with very little history and no service records.

We know that the VIN is C551084.

We believe that the engine is Chrysler’s 331 cubic inch Hemi V8.

We know that in 2016/17 it was insured in the name of a man with addresses in Texas and Montana.

We know that, today, the odometer reads 60,544 miles.

"We haven’t tried to start or drive the car so our understanding of it is somewhat limited."

"We can’t make any claims about the functionality of switches, knobs, levers, toggles, buttons, dials or other electrics as we haven’t started the vehicle."

But it does look cool

Seems like a good price, seen worse at higher prices.

Its a no reserve auction, so will sell to highest bidder. Seller has had a huge collection of cars and they just keep coming ! No reserve on any of them so far.

So, what's the story?, why is the collection going up for sale?
