Just a month shy of 2 years since I found her, she is back on the road.

Thanks for all the help folks.

It got a full driveline resto. Rebuilt everything. Runs and stops like new now.

Polished what was left of the paint. Going to live with the fairly new but mismatched interior.

I’m going to wear it out driving it this summer. Plan to take it to Moparfest in New Hamburg. Weren’t enough Forword Looks there last year.

Looks great. I wouldn't have thought I would like that color combination, but I do.

I was at the Run for the Sun car show in north Mrytle Beach, SC back in March 2017 & saw one similar to this.
Is it the same car by chance? If the rust bubble on the right front fender is an indicator, then it looks to be the one.

I think I answered my own question which means I must be talking to myself again...

Beautiful 2 tone paint. Was that a factory color combo? I dont think I've ever seen that combo before.

Oh, yeah, now I see; thanks! A standing rear view mirror. My Citroen DS has that as well.

It might have been. I got it from a guy in NC who had picked it up at a car corral that spring somewhere in the area. It was also on craigslist out of Roanoke VA i believe before that but didn’t sell. The car was a one-owner and had big title problems because the VIN was recorded wrong back in ‘59 when it was originally titled and never fixed. Had to be towed back to VA and inspected by the SP etc.... I bought it because of the relatively low mileage and everything is there with no rust A lot of options, Glass is perfect. Seats near perfect. Just some worn paint and a lot of what the old owner called ‘whiskey dents’.

Since I got this, I have seen two with the identical color combo. One was out of Nebraska or one of the Dakota’s. The copper is a really nice metallic. Would have looked pretty sharp back in the day.

Very nice car. Great job bringing it back. Patina is a very "in" thing these days. That Fury looks fantastic. Have fun this summer.

That's simply a bitchin' car. Love the underhood work, too.

I'd really like to know what Mopar was thinkin with that stupid way of mounting a RR mirror? I'm surprised you can even see out the back window with that.

It does look strange, but that rear-view mirror location worked pretty well. It also allowed a driver to view the mirror and not take his eyes too far off the road ahead.

Recall that early Vettes--and other cars--had dash mounted mirrors. Common in the 50s/60s.

That mirror arrangement worked well as long as the were not 3 people in the front seat. Like the car and the resto work to date.
