Good Evening All
Is there reputable power steering pump builder out there?
The 'Part Barge' ('65 Newport) has a leak (drip) that appears to be coming from where the pump is seated to the reservoir.
Really don't want to go the 'chain store' rebuilt route.
Thanks to all who respond.

If the pump works fine just replace the o-ring where the can goes to the pump. Save you a bunch of coins that way.

As said, it could be fixed with replacing the O-ring.

If you still want it rebuilt, I sent one to PowerSteering.com All was good so far. Fairly quick turnaround etc. Haven't put it on the car (65 Barracuda) and tried it yet as it's still winter here.

Make sure the power steering system is not full of red ATF, from my experiences, but "clear" Chrysler or GM spec power steering fluid.

Enjoy!

There is a large O-ring that sits between the pump body and the fluid reservoir "can." You can go to RockAuto and buy a very inexpensive seal kit that contains all the pump seals, including the big O-ring can seal. It is pretty easy to remove your pump and detach the can and replace the seal. BTW you should also purchase one of these power steering belt adjustment tools from Bob Merritt at Simplex: Chrysler Power Steering Bracket Adjuster Tool Here is a video that is very helpful:
