Those birds can jump! Years ago I saw one jump onto the roof of a 1 story house.
Yes they can. Here's the same guy a few weeks ago. The second picture he's all puffed up. I guess to look badass.

The roadrunners are lucky that so many people in the neighborhood have chickens and goats. they are much easier to catch. And Wiley doesn't need any Acme products.
 
A few years ago I spent two weeks in Arizona mostly off the beaten path and was hoping to see a Roadrunner in it's natural habitat.
Second to last day I finally did see one.It was in a Taco Bell parking lot.
 
My cousin had a family of roadrunners on his property in Phoenix. I'm pretty sure the picture he sent to me was one of them.
