Santa list for suspension parts!

Hi guys, I've bought most of my new suspension parts through, Rare parts, and some from Craig at mobile parts. The remaining items I need help finding are the correct size front shocks, rear shocks, lower control arm rebuild kit/shafts? any part numbers and where to buy would be appreciated. I've searched some through the forum and confused about which to buy. Just looking for a fool proof correct application with enough travel on rear shocks to remove rear wheels if needed. thanks.

also are the lower control arm rebuild shaft kits over kill? or should i just replace the bushing itself and reuse the old shafts?

If the suspension isn’t rusted mess then the old shafts are fine to,re use. Inspect them for damage and any abnormal wear or previous bushing replacement mishaps.

ok so I found the front shocks: KYB KG4507 Front Gas-a-Just Shock Absorbers, need rear kyb shock part numbers please, i don t trust ebays fits: etc... lol

I reused my old shafts, no problems. FirmFeel does sell a greaseable pivot pin if you want to upgrade.

Ok so I bought the greaseable pivot shafts with the urethane bushings from Firmfeel. Logged onto Rockauto and bought the kyb front shocks and Monroe rear shocks (they did not have KYB rear shocks) and some Moog upper control arm bushings. Should be good to go I have everything else for my suspension overhaul.

Here’s my master suspension list of everything going into my Newport.
Rare parts TRW upper ball joints
Rare parts diamond series lower ball joints
Moog upper control arm bushings
Rare parts inner/outer tie rods with sleeves
Firm Feel lower control arm greaseable pivot shafts with urethane bushings
KYB front shocks
Monroe rear shocks
Anderson restoration rubber bump stops for the control arms
Steer and Gear rebuilt power steering gearbox

Thanks for the list! I was thinking of adding rear springs, shackles and ubolts to my list. Could you follow up when job is done with any problems I should watch out for?

Get your sway bar bushings! Not a totally bad list either. I've done the same recently, but still lack the upper control arm bushings. I went for NOS stuff, U.S.A. made as much as possible, but used Rare parts for the LCA bushings, and the passenger lower ball joint. The REST of my parts either were from a couple years ago, or pre-bar-code iron. Happy to get so much of the old stuff too!

Good luck on your rebuild. I'm looking at Spring, 2022 to rebuild my front end. Its still driving true and straight as I could like, but Oh how it GROANS on stops! I've lubed every zerk I could up front, and everything there is OH-RIJ-IN-ALL! One of the stop bumpers crumbled away, and lots of the rubber is gone, though the steel remains. This will be my second front end rebuild. My first got done January, 2018 with a kit from Anderson, supplemented with a set of Moog upper ball joints. THIS rebuild will be with better quality steel, though Anderson's stuff did well enough for us for the 3/5 yrs I drove on it.

Here is some helpful info as far as shock absorbers go you are correct about the part number for the KYB front shocks. However for the rears you need to look no further than a 1970 Dodge Charger rear shocks the compressed length and the extended blink have those shocks are exactly the same as the specs for a fuselage C body. Have installed them on my own 69 300 and I am very pleased, there's numerous other members who have done this also with great results.
