Scary Moment

A cousin of mine just had a terrifying moment with her three year old son. They live on a farm and the little guy went outside to play. He went to get something under the raised deck and came face to face with a bear. We think it is fortunate that he has a fear of dogs so he quickly went inside and nothing happened. Not sure why the bear was there but it was a young one and we think it could smell the dog food. The dogs weren’t around because they were with the dad tending cows.
It just goes to show that there are dangers everywhere when it comes to little ones.

Scary indeed! Give the little guy credit for not panicking and give the bear credit for probably sensing that the toddler was no threat. The outcome was good, hopefully they both learned a lesson!

There was a black bear wandering around the area a couple weeks ago. That's pretty unusual for here.

I haven't heard anything more about it lately.
