Bought some fender skirts. They even look like they might even match my body color. Found them on CL. The guy was even nice enough to bring them to me since barn door is still blocked by snow drift. The release rods are intact and work fine. I have nothing else to make them work. Felt underneath the fenders.Nothing. Apparently my car was not equipped with them. Anyone know if a mounting kit is available, keeping in mind that I want them to work as original?

i don't think anything is available as a kit. used might be your best bet for the brackets. skirts were more common on the VIP so you may want to start there

The 69 and 70 Fury's with fender skirts have U shaped lip (bottom of lip is flat) for the swing arm to latch the skirt. The handle will lay in this lip. You will also need a hole on the lower part of the lip for the pin you see sticking out.

Are they factory or aftermarket skirts? Foxcraft used to make skirts to fit many of the older cars, fit is very close to factory but mounting is different. I have a couple sets of the Foxcraft for 65 Polara, but factory skirts are pretty uncommon. One easy tell, at least for the 65's I'm familiar with is the factory ones slide over a round stud that comes down from the wheel opening, while the aftermarket have a u shaped clamp that clamps on the edge of the wheel opening and has a tab for the skirt to slide up on. If you look at the top edge of the skirt are there slots, (~1/4" wide x 3/4" long), or round holes, (~1/4" diameter)? If they're Foxcraft I have seen clips come available from time to time.

Don't have them in front of me right now but pretty sure they are factory . They also have stamped part numbers with another number below that. The lower numbers have one digit between each other which probably means left and right, Im guessing. Also theres a little stud that sticks out,so Im thinking a hole has to be made also. My rear openings have chrome around them, I know I will have to remove those too.

There is a clip on one end that looks like it probably hangs on some type of hook inside the fender well as well as a little stud on the other end which I'll probably have to make a hole for.
