As you all know, I’ve been eyeing a ‘62 Chrysler 300 as my next ride. Although I don’t yet have one in my possession, I’ve been slowly building a nice little collection of parts to make it “my own.”

You also may know I’m a huge fan of Mild Kustoms in ‘60s style. I love period correct stuff, and I was wanting to find a set of finned aluminum valve covers for the 413. This proved to be a real challenge because 4 bolt finned covers are rare as hens teeth. I kept searching and asking around and finally someone had a set they were willing to part with!!

Extremely rare early ‘60s “Moon” brand finned aluminum valve covers. They’re a little rough - but being that they’re cast aluminum they should be able to clean up REALLY nice. I couldn’t pass these up!

I believe Moon is now “Mooneyes.” Moon and Cal Custom were making a lot of cool accessories, but the valve covers are my favorite. I find it odd that the holes for the oil fill / breather cap are in the center, but that’s just how they are I guess.

A setup like this would be the ultimate for me under the hood of a 62!

Along with this gold / chrome paint scheme - it would be a really awesome period kustom look:

Perfect looking 62. Lowered on Astro Supreme wheels on thin whites. My style 100%
