That ain’t a bad idea, you know?
My little ones love their car rides. Not sure this Is what you had in mind with this thread, but!
the Totem pole drive in was on Woodward ave in Detroit. Not exactly a small town and the big daddy of cruising roads. I spent more then a few nights there in the 60's/70's.
I grew up in a town of 600. So this was relevant to my youth. We "scooped the loop" that was about a mile round trip from one end of our world to the other. We had a great 1/4 mile on the outskirts of town. Spent many summer nights drag racing and hang out at the Dairy Sweet drive-in.
Hopkins Minnesota, people would drive from surrounding towns to cruise down main Street. It got so bad, they made main street a windy path to discourage the cruisers.
But when I moved down here, the kids still cruise the loop, you'll see them again and again.
Main Street in Mesa and Central Ave in Phoenix both only a couple miles long, but they were some great miles while it lasted. Both shut down by the fun nazis.
