Hopkins Minnesota, people would drive from surrounding towns to cruise down main Street. It got so bad, they made main street a windy path to discourage the cruisers.
Main Street in Mesa and Central Ave in Phoenix both only a couple miles long, but they were some great miles while it lasted. Both shut down by the fun nazis.I grew up in a town of 600. So this was relevant to my youth. We "scooped the loop" that was about a mile round trip from one end of our world to the other. We had a great 1/4 mile on the outskirts of town. Spent many summer nights drag racing and hang out at the Dairy Sweet drive-in.
