I just finished sand blasting my intake and valve covers this morning.I picked up the FelPro 1214 intake gasket and a set of their new VS 50145 R non-cork valve cover gaskets.I am not going to use RTV on any of these joints. My question is which do you think would be better long term....Permatex #2b , GasGaCinch or Yamabond 4. All are non-hardening gasoline & oil resistant sealers. I know that you can do the intake dry, but I think something might help. Thanks for your input.

I use ultrablack rtv on the head/block/valleypan intersections(4 of them). I also put Permatex high tack or indian head around the ports not gobbed on. The valve cover gaskets I glue with 3M super trim adhesive overnight onto the valve covers and placed flat on bench/floor with 20# or so of weight on them, then thin bead of ultrablack on head side. I always use cork VC gaskets but I have a friend who taught me the 3M trick and always uses rubber.
