Seat belts 1965 Monaco

My 1965 Monaco has original seat belts in the front and newer ones in the back. I wonder if it's possible that there was only seat belts in the front and that the back ones were added, not replaced...

More than likely. Our 65 Monaco back in the day had front belts only. I have two now, and both are front belts only. Wasn't required by law . . . but actually WAS available to order. According to some published info I have, you may be able to look under the letter "X" on the build tag. 7 = front retract belt, 8 = F/R retract belt, 9 = F/R standard belt. I've never really researched this in depth. I also seen tags where the "X" is left blank. Hope this helps.

Yep. My built sheet and fender tag have an 8 for front and rear retractable seat belts.
