I have some shop heaters that I took down and replaced with a central a/c heater
unit a few years ago...
These heaters were used only for couple years before taken down...
I have five of these almost new heaters left..
Located in Joliet Illinois... ( right off RT80)
They were over 1500$ when new..
How about we do 650$ each..

These were really good heaters. In Oregon, thanks to all the "Earth First" and other green idiots we could not put them in. Not "Energy Star" rated, i.e. they are not 95% or greater energy efficient.

The way we got around that, Dave, was to run a longer exhaust with a heat exchanger mid section
of the exhaust ... With the forced air exhaust it worked well plus provided the extra heat from the exhaust..

That is essentially what was done to make the new one's efficient. Here they mostly only look at the codes on the box to see if it was built to their specs. They have gotten so anal here they would probably write up that type of after market mod as a code violation. Glad that worked for you.
