1972 Impala's are terrible cars, make sure you have had a tetanus shot recently before you start rubbing against one, but they are light years ahead of ANY Renault. Other than that, rub away!

Thanks Everyone for your encouragement. It's nice to still dream but narrowing the initial list down to one absolute must-have, it would have to be the '55 Packard; seconded by the Merc X-100. In the meantime I'll stay with my 00 and 02 Lincoln TC's which are by far the best cars I've ever owned.
