This is intended for the guys with a little mechanical knowledge. You hard core guys already know this. Spool motor mounts are used on 73-79 A,B C & E body cars. Not sure about the FMJ & R but they likely have them as well. You only need to loosen the large 3/4 nut enough so it clears the mounting ear & tap the bolt forward so the head of it also clears the ear. I like to loosen the other side just a bit so it will pivot easier. Put a jack with a thin board under the oil pan. The spool mount bolt has tabs that fit into the ovaled hole of the mount. This keeps the bolt from turning when loosing or tighting the nut. Very easy & simple. Remove the other bolts & keep the long spool mount in. The mount will slide right out with the bolt still in place
If the parts store sell you the wrong mount like mine did you can also buy just the insert. A little more work. Helps to have a torch to burn the old one out & install the new insert with a hammer & block of wood
