Looks like a nice area to have heaps of rusty $#/+ sitting on the lawn.
It's actually not a bad area. This use to be a very nice area but the economy has tanked over the past 15+ years. There are still some very nice homes here.
This property looks like one of the exceptions. In the first image, I've circled the car but you can see some nicer homes in the area as well.
The second image shows a wider view of the lake and the houses with private boat slips.
Conneaut Lake used to be the summer vacation homes for many higher income people in the Pittsburgh and Cleveland area.
This area on the east side of the lake used to be one of the nicer areas, it's been a number of years since I was at the Iroquois Club but it used to be a private boat club that was a very expensive venue for parties, etc. There's also a nicer country club in the area.
I'm actually surprised the boro has allowed this property to fall in such disrepair but it's probably a sign of the times.
A little history on the lake, it is the largest natural (glacial) lake in Pennsylvania. It's about 3 miles long and 1 mile wide. When my father once swam the length of the lake and when he was about 16 two younger kids were drowning. He saved one of them but by the time he got back to the other, he had drown.
