I was wondering how long it would take before someone would discredit him because he was a Atheist. He didn't have religious beliefs or believe in a God, therefore he is a Bad role model and ignorant, Correct?

I think it was to point out everyone has flaws, and is not always such a perfect person. I have the same belief with other people considered role models, they may have accomplished great things, but they are not themselves that great a person. You can't discredit what he contributed to science, the rest is fair game. My .02¢ and nothing more.

Discredit him?, how?, to me he simply was not a person worth admiring, for various reasons.
