Would you guys have any idea about what temperature say, the first mark is? Halfway? Last mark?
My car is a 70 Fury. It runs around 1/3 of the way over, sometimes a little more. I don’t think it’s getting too hot and I’ve had issues with other Mopars with this kind of gauge going higher than it should. In the past I’ve panicked about this on a different car only to find that when I installed an aftermarket capillary type gauge that the factory gauge was being dramatic!
What’s your take? Thanks.

Presuming the gauge reads in an approximate linear fashion . . .
"C" = 100 degrees F :"Normal range" is from 140 - 220 degrees F "H" = 260 degrees

An IR heat gun is a very nice little thing to have around. The less expensive ones go to 500 degrees F, with the slightly more expensive ones going to 1000 degrees F. The higher temp range guns can be used to check individual exhaust runners (especially with headers) to check for lean cylinders, for example. Usually in the $30.00 range at Harbor Freight, from what I've seen.
