Does someone have the know-how to re-post this on FB, Twitter or Reddit?

Last week I read a Forbes article that cited FTC and others sources estimating that the Peoples (Putative) Republic of China is the source of 80 to 86 percent of the world's counterfeit and knock-off goods. Many are not just shoddy con jobs, they're downright dangerous. And Amazon readily admits they have a significant problem with vendors selling phony designer goods.

Ya wanna buy Chinese? Go check out Taiwan goods!

I just spend the better part of a Sunday afternoon compiling all the Made in USA websites and search engines I could find. Then I tried to post them on places I don't really frequent (FB and Reddit) and was unable to do it. Too confusing for me! I know folks get skittish about opening documents/attachments, but in case you are inclined to send this info along or know how to post it somewhere, here's the attachment of my findings:

It's a pain in the ass and you have to do your homework but buying Made in USA is worth it to my family. Clothing is the worst but my wife and I both wear New Balance shoes, Tony Lama boots, Justin boots, Red Wing shoes, and Ruddock shirts. Socks are also made in USA purchased at Tractor Supply.

We avoid Chinese goods at all costs.

Texas Jeans has good jeans.

Always buy my jeans from there for the last 12 years.

Most times I don't really need new stuff as I find older used items can work just as well and are more likely made in the US. Recently I needed another 4 1/2 angle grinder, a 1/2" heavy duty variable speed drill and a 3/8" variable speed drill to keep down on the USS Hornet. Better than carrying my tools from home, to ship, and back again. So on the Goodwill site I found both drills by Milwaukee for $30 (Magnum holeshooter) and $25 with both made in the US. The angle grinder was a DeWalt off eBay for $40 and made in the US. Money went to a good cause, a charity and another US consumer's hands.

I agree with the red wing shoes.

I was on line at Kmart awhile back when some old lady holding a box of toothpaste shouted out. (Colgate toothpaste made in China)? (My god don’t we make anything here anymore)?

From a website that identifies country of origin for manufactured products:

Is Colgate manufactured from China safe?
According to Colgate-Palmolive Company, all their products are safe to use. This was made clear regarding all toothpaste, regardless of where it is manufactured. It means all plants making their products have to meet company standards.

However, Colgate made in China might not meet standards. This is because there is no authorized Colgate producer in the country. Customers who buy the China-made Colgate have several complaints. Many have said the China version smells tastes and feels weird. They prefer the common refreshing American version known as Total Colgate toothpaste.

It is ridiculous. I can't believe most of the cheap crap in Dollar General for example can be made and transported halfway for less than it can be made here. I think it is laziness on management, they get a one stop shopping from the Chinese. All they know is it does not cost more and they can order a bunch of lines of crap though one source.

You hear a lot about shortages from backlogs of imported containers. Boats at sea waiting to unload.
Is there the same waiting problem to export containers of made in the USA products?
For every US factory shutdown for self inflicted over regulation or to comply to Paris agreement,China,India just picks it up. China just laughs at us

The Red Wing Shoe brand is primarily handmade in the USA with American materials at the company's plants in Red Wing, Minnesota; Potosi, Missouri, and Danville, Kentucky.[3] As of 2014, there are six sources of manufacture: completely made in the USA, made in the USA with imported materials, assembled in the USA with imported components, made in China, made in Korea and made in Vietnam.[4]

Exactly. On their website, they have a specific section for made in USA with USA materials. All others have the country of origin in the description. My 1155's are all American and have been going strong for 7 years with one re-sole.
